Wednesday, March 01, 2006 1:33:29 AM "Colonel" Harland Sanders . . . businessman; founder-spokesperson of the "Kentucky Fried Chicken" fast-food restaurant chain (homeless at age 10 when his mother remarried and he left home due to altercations with his stepfather/car as an adult; slept in the backseat nightly because he could not afford lodging as he traveled around the United States and Canada, sometimes with his wife Claudia, trying to sign up restaurants to use his special fried chicken recipe for a franchise licensing fee). What an entrepreneur... Colonel Sanders is my hero.

Wednesday, March 01, 2006 12:15:14 AM I heard Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong- from the tv shows "Nash Bridges" and "That 70's Show", also from the marijuana movies- were homeless guys who met some actor then became famous. I wonder if they were left off the list or if it was just a lie?

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 11:31:56 PM They got my avatar for william shatner."outdoor camping in a tent with his family in the backyard of the home of his older married sister, Patricia Carrey" lmao, poor Jim Carey. It's kinda messed up that his own sister wouldn't let him and their parents sleep inside. |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 4:20:34 PM I hope to make this list one day. Dont think of it as homelessness, think of it as houselessness...I've lived on the street, in cars, and in the woods of in on around the country for going on 4 years.....It just kind of happens....From experiance the streets are much easier then the shelters....there drating deranged....if you really need shelter there are always squats...no head to pack youyrself in those hell-houses. Oh and by the way whoever said that poo about getting out of it therough hardwork and determanation.....I call bullpoo....everyone I knew got out of it through luck...including myself.....when your homeless the key to surviveing will is to keep moveing ...drift from place to place...the longer you stay in one place the more miserable the conditions become...It's very hard to build yourself up...especially since in most cases you need an address to get a job....unless you go to an employmet agency which pockets half your pay, sending you differant places every day. |
