Tuesday, February 28, 2006 6:26:05 PM That is really inspiring to know that someone can do that. My friend was two siblings, both with autism and they both have very special talents. One of them is an incredibly fast typer and the other is really good at spelling. With autism its often normal for the person with the autism to have strong points in areas of life. |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 6:17:13 PM Very touching. At my school we had a kid with down syndrom *sp?* who never played all season. The last game of the season we were winning by 20 poits so coach lets him play and some jerk says he doesn't care he was going to block him anyway so we try to get the ball for him and he misses a few passes but we are determined to get him he ball. So finally he gets the ball and everyone screams shoot and that jerk who said he was going to block him tries to block him but Joe (the kid with down syndrome) pump fakes (I don't know if he meant to) and the kid goes up and Joe takes the shot and makes it. And we all just start screaming and he thought he did something wrong and we're all like you did good. Maybe not as gread as this story but it will stick with me forever |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 5:47:40 PM that was awesome. that kid could totally school me at any 1 on 1 game and also, STFU anyone who says that that was photoshopped. that kid made those shots and he deserved that giant crowd. |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 5:22:45 PM Thats awesome, stuff like that makes me happy :) Rochester is only, like, a half hour away from me. Besides, whether or not someone was guarding him, the kid made a s h i t load of three pointers in four minutes, I couldnt score one of those baskets if I was on the court by myself.... |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 4:36:28 PM Bigoldidjit: Please don't quote Tom Petty songs.I don't want to associate Tom Petty with you. As far as the kid goes, good for him. He'll remember being carried off the court for the rest of his life. |

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 4:30:59 PM Being autistic does not mean that you aren't athletic - you basically have problems relating with people socially. So, to see people make such a big deal about this is kinda sad in a way - because of the way "normal" people view autistic people. The kid may have good game - he was never given a chance to showcase what he may have because of his autism until the very last game of the season.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 1:40:27 PM Yeah the reported seemed like he was going to cry at the end. I'm not surprised, it was such a heartwarming story. My brother's autistic so I really feel happy for the guy. |
