And your belief that democrats have not offered an alternative approach to many, if not all, of Bush's policies only stems from your ignorance about politics. http://www.vote-smart.org/index.htm shows issue positions for many democrats and republicans and their support and alternatives to differing policies as well as links to their websites that also show differing policies. Try doing some research before you listen to 30 sec. clips on the news and expect to be educated.And thanks for informing me about the "saddam's audio tapes". Although I had to read about it myself. If democrats had run things like republicans, they wouldn't deserve to be in power, I would be the first to admit that. One problem the democrats face is that the situations are so complicated that you can't summarize a successful rebuttle to the "stay the course" soundbite. Take for example the 9 billion dollars lost in Iraq http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...
Now this is where the main argument about "not screwing up" comes in to play. Now you could hold someone accountable (which hasn't been done) or better yet, not lose 9 billion tax payers dollars. But of course the latter this isn't an alternative to where to go from here, but a COMPLAINT about how things have been handled. But many complaints criticized deeply flawed rushed war policies that have created the problem to begin with. Republican policies. Simply put, complaints ARE acknowledgements of differing ideas. |

Just Google "Saddam audio tapes" and you will find plenty of news stories about them.You don't think the Democrats should come up with a better plan, KnightmareOH? I happen to agree with your analogy about being driven into the ditch, but jtc970 is right. The Democrats would rather complain than offer any ideas. They would rather see America hit with a hundred more disasters than offer ideas that could help the country while a Republican is in office, and you apparently agree with that mindset. If you have some criticism for Republicans, that's okay, but when you criticize, insult, and complain CONSTANTLY, then you are expected to provide an alternative. If your party can't do better, then it should just shut up. |

Also I am not asking what they would HAVE done different, I am askin what have they done, attempted, or even mentioned since a republican became president? Nothing.. the would rather do nothing and destroy this country rather than try to make it a better place while a republican is in office.

Bush has done far more to help this country than Clinton, Bush Sr., and Carter combined. He, unlike those liberal pantywaists in Congress, wants to eliminate the terrorist threat instead of bending over like Neville Chamberlain.The "Bush lied" horse is just dust now. The WMD intelligence was, for the most part, correct. The problem was that Saddam hid the weapons (as he said in his audio tapes) so that the world would think the U.S. was lying. Apparently, the liberals believe and trust Saddam Hussein more than they do Bush, and that is just sick. |

He is either desperately grasping for an insult that will stick or he is jealous.KnightmareOH, I have never said or implied that Bush can do no wrong. For example, I think he is royally screwing up the border situation and he has a problem with answering the lies put out by his opponents. I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying if democrats dont like the plan they should come up with something better. When was the last time anyone said "and the democrats plan is to.."?
The parties only accomplishment was to accomplish nothing while a republican is in office and show the world they hate the current president. They have not tried anything to help this country, they are too pre-occupied in trying to get elected next time, without regard to how America is being hurt. |

i really dislike what bush's done to the world (what he did to the US isn't really my concern), but I don't think that the VP shooting someone in the face is yet another proof of how incompetent he is. It's just plain funny. After all, if you want to say the Bush administration sucks, you really have a whole bunch of other reasons.And before anyne says "blahblahblah hippie blahblahblah communist blahblahblah you don't even live in the USA", when the most powerful country in the world starts waging wars out of, best case cenario, awfully wrong intelligence, and therefore killing thousands, yeah, i'd say it's something the entire world should be worried about. |

This isnt about liberal or conservative, it's about America. The democrats would rather bash people personally and make the current president look bad, rather than cooperate. THe media is going the same. Instead of reporting what affects all of us they would rather create a story that doesnt mean diddly squat to any of us. They ignore real world issues like a past president inciting hatred because the vice president reported an event locally before telling The New York Times. They call the press secretary a jerk, and have lost all focus.
Look at KnightmareOH for an example. People stopped thinking about whats best for America, only caring about their parties. They sink to name calling, lieing and ridicule (even owning a cat can be used as fodder). They are ignoring facts and spend their days creating new Flash applications where you can throw tomatoes at the president. I have never seen so much disrespect in my life. We are all human, but some have lost what make us that. |

I heard some of those idiots in the Washington press corps ask if Cheney would resign or be charged with a crime. Why would Cheney resign over a hunting accident? |
