And your belief that democrats have not offered an alternative approach to many, if not all, of Bush's policies only stems from your ignorance about politics. http://www.vote-smart.org/index.htm shows issue positions for many democrats and republicans and their support and alternatives to differing policies as well as links to their websites that also show differing policies. Try doing some research before you listen to 30 sec. clips on the news and expect to be educated.

And thanks for informing me about the "saddam's audio tapes". Although I had to read about it myself. If you want to read about it go hear: http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/Investig...
They are actually a decade old tapes made back in the early to mid 90s of Saddam saying that the US cannot stop a terrorist attack, but Iraq would not attack us. Damning st

If democrats had run things like republicans, they wouldn't deserve to be in power, I would be the first to admit that. One problem the democrats face is that the situations are so complicated that you can't summarize a successful rebuttle to the "stay the course" soundbite. Take for example the 9 billion dollars lost in Iraq http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...
Now this is where the main argument about "not screwing up" comes in to play. Now you could hold someone accountable (which hasn't been done) or better yet, not lose 9 billion tax payers dollars. But of course the latter this isn't an alternative to where to go from here, but a COMPLAINT about how things have been handled. But many complaints criticized deeply flawed rushed war policies that have created the problem to begin with. Republican policies. Simply put, complaints ARE acknowledgements of differing ideas.

Just Google "Saddam audio tapes" and you will find plenty of news stories about them.

You don't think the Democrats should come up with a better plan, KnightmareOH? I happen to agree with your analogy about being driven into the ditch, but jtc970 is right. The Democrats would rather complain than offer any ideas. They would rather see America hit with a hundred more disasters than offer ideas that could help the country while a Republican is in office, and you apparently agree with that mindset.

If you have some criticism for Republicans, that's okay, but when you criticize, insult, and complain CONSTANTLY, then you are expected to provide an alternative. If your party can't do better, then it should just shut up.

Also I am not asking what they would HAVE done different, I am askin what have they done, attempted, or even mentioned since a republican became president? Nothing.. the would rather do nothing and destroy this country rather than try to make it a better place while a republican is in office.

good answer KnightmareOH! not screwed up, well then, I guess I know who I'm voting for next time. The party who's plan is to "not screw up" awesome!

Is that the party that bombed an aspirin factory? The same that didnt do much of anything about the U.S.S Cole bombing? The party that did nothing about Osama in 8 years? To not screw up you mean, sit on your ass and do nothing, is that how you dont screw up?

How dumb do you have to be to believe that the administration was right, when they admit they were wrong? Pretty f*ckin stupid. Show me evidence if you want to change my mind. Don't expect me to believe your word for it.

And jeff, you want to know what the democrats would have done differently? Not screwed up! Its just that simple. Everything this administration touches turns black; Katrina, Iraq, Economy. And yet your position is "well why haven't the democrats come up with a better plan?" When one guy drives you into a ditch, you don't sit there and say "Ok this guy got me into a pretty bad situation but the other guy, whom drove perfectly fine for 8 years, isn't coming up with a better plan" Thats just dumb thinking.

"The WMD intelligence was, for the most part, correct."
All I want to know is how it was correct. How? When did he say in his audio tapes he hid the weapons? Where can I hear these audio tapes?

"Bush told the truth" theory that's dust now. You people are nothing but a bunch of conspiracy theorists. Wasn't it a while ago you were telling me that Russia took the WMD's. Gosh, if there is evidence that Saddam said he had WMDs and that Russia hid them then wouldn't the white house say that everytime they open their mouth? And yet they don't. In fact Bush himself admitted the intelligence was wrong. http://www.theage.com.au/news/world/bush...
He even admitted on tape that the WMDs were irrelevant. http://streaming.americanprogress.org/T

Bush has done far more to help this country than Clinton, Bush Sr., and Carter combined. He, unlike those liberal pantywaists in Congress, wants to eliminate the terrorist threat instead of bending over like Neville Chamberlain.

The "Bush lied" horse is just dust now. The WMD intelligence was, for the most part, correct. The problem was that Saddam hid the weapons (as he said in his audio tapes) so that the world would think the U.S. was lying. Apparently, the liberals believe and trust Saddam Hussein more than they do Bush, and that is just sick.

Once again, KnightmareOH resorts to personal attacks. He seems to have a problem with me liking cats. He is either desperately grasping for an insult that will stick or he is jealous.

KnightmareOH, I have never said or implied that Bush can do no wrong. For example, I think he is royally screwing up the border situation and he has a problem with answering the lies put out by his opponents. The vast majority of reasons people hate Bush happen to be false.

I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying if democrats dont like the plan they should come up with something better. When was the last time anyone said "and the democrats plan is to.."?
The parties only accomplishment was to accomplish nothing while a republican is in office and show the world they hate the current president. They have not tried anything to help this country, they are too pre-occupied in trying to get elected next time, without regard to how America is being hurt.

The democrats would rather bash people personally and make the current president look bad, rather than cooperate.

So your suggestion is to cooperate with a corrupt MISadministration and allow them to continue causing the rest of the world to hate us, making the grounds fertile for breeding new terrorists and destroying the environment for our children and their children? No thanks.

What is BEST for America is to get someone in the White House who will not circumvent the Constitution and wipe their ass with the Bill of Rights. This nation was created by "THE PEOPLE".. not the corporations and not the C-student Right-wing-nut-job Chickenhawks whose only interest is lining their own pockets and keeping their supporters fat and happy. Who claim a "moral" highground while all the while being nothing but hypocrites.

Please, spare me the sanctimonious BUllpoo. If there were such a thing as the antichrist, he would be an idiot from Crawford.

""Come on, the guy got hit with a load of 28 gauge buckshot on accident. Not really that big of a deal. Granted, how could they pass up on the comedy factor of it, but still, I know of 3 people that have gotten shot in hunting accidents. poo happens people.""

BUCKSHOT??? Are you crazy? Like a poster said before "where do you get your news?" It was BIRD shot. For you that don't know, BIRD shot is much smaller and less damaging than BUCK shot.

i really dislike what bush's done to the world (what he did to the US isn't really my concern), but I don't think that the VP shooting someone in the face is yet another proof of how incompetent he is. It's just plain funny. After all, if you want to say the Bush administration sucks, you really have a whole bunch of other reasons.

And before anyne says "blahblahblah hippie blahblahblah communist blahblahblah you don't even live in the USA", when the most powerful country in the world starts waging wars out of, best case cenario, awfully wrong intelligence, and therefore killing thousands, yeah, i'd say it's something the entire world should be worried about.

First of all, I'm going to say it yet again:
GW was right!

Second,
Quote from T-Marley: " Instead of whining and playing partisanship why don't you actually all get involved? At age 18 you have the ability to run for plenty of offices, and instead of just letting a bunch of old men who are too extreme in their views no matter what side they are on run one of the most powerful nations in the world, why don't you guys actually do something about it?"

I wish it were that easy. The problem with that is that the youngsters such as myself who want to change the world are being force fed the same extremist views of the old guys. Get an original thought for once people, think for yourself.

This isnt about liberal or conservative, it's about America. The democrats would rather bash people personally and make the current president look bad, rather than cooperate. THe media is going the same. Instead of reporting what affects all of us they would rather create a story that doesnt mean diddly squat to any of us. They ignore real world issues like a past president inciting hatred because the vice president reported an event locally before telling The New York Times. They call the press secretary a jerk, and have lost all focus.
Look at KnightmareOH for an example. People stopped thinking about whats best for America, only caring about their parties. They sink to name calling, lieing and ridicule (even owning a cat can be used as fodder). They are ignoring facts and spend their days creating new Flash applications where you can throw tomatoes at the president. I have never seen so much disrespect in my life. We are all human, but some have lost what make us that.

Indigo_M and Maelstrom_X, wow you guys have a lot in common. Both of you are conservative whiners who believe bush can do no wrong. Both of your names are structurally similiar: something stupid followed by a letter in the alphabet. And I bet I could go through a thousand profiles and not come across a single person gay enough to put 'cats' as one of their interests, yet both of you do. I'm almost aww struck at the coincidences.

OK catboys, theres no reason to get all bent out of shape, I think I'm starting to see where all the conservative aggression is coming from. After all, if you like video games AND cats I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say your virgins. Right? It all makes sense, only in a delusional world where cats and videogames satisfy the most basic of physical urges does the Bush administration do a good job. But I think I see a solution... guys you are perfect for each other. Thats right, you two can spoon and complain about me all day.

Can't we all just get along?

Oh, yeah....the Letterman bit was pretty funny and not worth getting upset about. Neither was the hunting accident. All of you budding political activists need to lighten up, whichever side you're on.

Anyone here heard Gore telling the arab world that the U.S. government has rounded up all Muslims in America and placed them in unspeakable conditions for torture? Lets think which is worse. Now which got more press?"

Oh puhlease.

Let's not go into this crap. The puppet master SHOT someone. What about that do you not get?

Now if you want to make a REAL WORLD comparison. How about.. Chimp lies about WMD and many many other things and now hundreds of thousands of humans are now dead. All because of that. Yet, he gets a pass.

Uh oh, here comes the liberals' sh*thead Bush bashers! Everyone, no need to worry, KnightmareOH is here to vanquish the gestapos that actually believe Bush has done anything right! Bush/Hitler's influence will have no place on IAB comments! KnightmareOH even brought a flamethrower to set fire to the first amendment to the Constitution! Wait, book burning, isn't that something Hitler (Bush) would do? Oh no! Don't become what you hate!

I personally laughed at it, I felt it was funny. It wasn't done in an attempt to attack Dick Cheney.

What I find funny is how your liberal media outlets burst into tears because the White House didn't tell them the story first. Oops! A local news station got to broadcast the story first, and since they didn't put any spin on it, now you can't either! Better luck next time!

By the way, stick to attacking politics, not attacking people. If you don't like what the conservatives have to say, then ignore it you fascist f-

Exactly, Maelstrom x. Kennedy waited longer than Cheney did to tell the press, and Kennedy KILLED someone! Not only that, he lied about it! I heard some of those idiots in the Washington press corps ask if Cheney would resign or be charged with a crime. Why would Cheney resign over a hunting accident?

I did not threaten you with a .22 caliber rifle. I simply stated that I am armed with one. It was a retort to your statement that I am armed with misquotes and dictionaries.

By the way, you misspelled "elusive".
