Monday, December 12, 2005 12:50:00 PM They WILL NOT be going into space after the show finishes. they will be flying in a specially converted plane, which will basically fly nosedown towards the earth from high altitude, which is the same as being weightless, you are in the plane freefalling in effect, but nothing around you is moving so it 'feels' like you are in zero gravity. liam53 Male, 13-17, Europe

Monday, December 12, 2005 12:29:22 PM Ok some people really dont get this show so let me try to explain...Way back in june/july Channel 4 advertised in the paper for 'thrill-seekers' to take part in a show that promised lots of surprises and climaxes -- including the ultimate thrill After many tests and analysing channel 4 found 9 people out of 100 who seemed to be the most gullable people on the planet. These 9 people have been forced into beliving they are going into space when entirely they are not!!! Channel 4 have now narrowed it down to 4 people who will go into this fake "shuttle" and spend 5 days in their. If the "space cadets" are completly fooled into beliving they have been into space and channel 4 pull of the stunt they will each win £5000 for every day they spend in the shuttle. So their is potentially £25000 for each of the four cadets. The 4 people who go on the "mission" will also been flown to the real russian space training centre when they will be tra |

Monday, December 12, 2005 12:05:57 PM I agree with Becky, some of you people just don't get it...IT'S A HOAX!! No-one is going to space (do you know how much that costs?!), no-one is getting any cash, no-one is going to Russia. They're in England in an airbase and then 4 of them will go into a simulated space ship (SIMULATED!) and they will (hopefully) think they are going into space. Thats the idea of a hoax people. Go to www.channel4.com for more info. On another note, one of the woman that was on it, the annoying Scottish one with blonde hair, works just round the corner from me! Aparently she left her work to go on the show without letting them know and now she's sacked! |

I'm sorry but people keep on annoying me, read wat the other ppl have put b4 u make a comment example aidious sed: OK, they're not going into outer space but they aren't being told they are...they've being told they're going into inner space where they won't experience weightlessness. WONT WILL NOT experience weightlessness!! |

Monday, December 12, 2005 11:55:34 AM http://www.performersdirectory.co.uk/extrasgirls.html this link also has keri from space cadets as a listing in a acting directory (scroll down)I don't think that it is too hard to beleive that a few of them have been involved in tv before, after all they auditioned for a reality show so they did want to be famous, it is not really too hard to beleive that a few of them have had bit parts before... |

Monday, December 12, 2005 11:45:15 AM I really like the show, but i think they're being a bit too nice to them, giving them loadsa cash and letting them fly out really to space...wolfie i saw that advert on the tele last night just before space cadets- i was sure it was him! But nobody else i asked thought the same, i'm so pleased someone else recognised him! But that doesn't make him an actor, just a blood donor who happened to donate blood to gordon ramsey or something... |

Monday, December 12, 2005 11:42:15 AM How are they going to simulate weightlessness in the simulator?I mean, I know these people are thickos and commoners, but even they with their limited mental capabilities would surely think something is afoot when they are supposedly in space and not floating around? |

Monday, December 12, 2005 11:36:29 AM aidious, you stil don't get it. The whole idea of the show is they trained in a 'russian' military base, outside ipswich, UK for 3 weeks, then 4 were chosen. THEY WILL NEVER GO INTO SPACE. AT ALL. It will all be in a simulator. then, when they 'return' from 'space' they will be told that it is a hoax |

Monday, December 12, 2005 8:24:26 AM Yeh it's a hoax at the moment. But then when it's over, they'll get to do (most of) it for real. It's like telling someone they've won a million pounds only to tell them it's a hoax....and then give them a million pounds. OK, they're not going into outer space but they aren't being told they are...they've being told they're going into inner space where they won't experience weightlessness. |

Monday, December 12, 2005 6:25:03 AM Aidious, it is a hoax because the "Russian Space Camp" is in the UK but heavily mocked up to look Russian, from electrical sockets to signage, all of the staff of this camp are actors, and the 'winners' arent going up into space at all because it's a simulator.... I'd say that's a hoax. |

Monday, December 12, 2005 4:14:48 AM OK I am watching this program, and I like it. But the thing I don't get is that the 'winners' actually get to fly out to Russia and experience weightlessness in a spaceship simulator thing. So it's not really a hoax at all - it's just a delayed truth. Also, some people thing the hoax is on US. They think that everyone knows it's not real and it's the British public are being conned. But I don't believe this at all. |
