I've definitely seen these jokes repeated on family guy... still hilarious... question... did Seth do the voice of that "F-word" bit that floats around? Is it just me or doesn't it sound like him? |

Rammstein221- "I wouldn't call Seth Macfarlane a comedic genious."Comedic genious or not, clever or not, the show is still a laugh riot. And if only it were really THAT easy to rip off a great show like the Simpsons, TV might not suck so much. There are a lot of similarites between the two, a zany cast of characters AND great writing. Anyways lets face it, slightly retarded fat men will always be funnier than reasonably smart skinny guys. If it aint broke don't fix it. |

I think Family guy is funny and all, but I wouldn't call Seth Macfarlane a comedic genious. Most of the jokes involve either physical humor or parodies of pop culture. Both are funny, but both aren't really that hard to make up. Most of the show's funnyness comes from the antics of an overweight and slightly retarded father, his well meaning level headed wife, and their son and daughter who constantly fight. Oh wait that's the Simpsons, add a talking baby and a talking dog into that. |

Good for you bobbyo, good for you.You can definatly tell where all the characters came from. Obviously Peter and Brian have changed from that original but the characters still carry that same feeling. And I love that some of the jokes from that movie are in his show even now. Like the "Didn't fart until he was 30" thing.
