Just imagine how creepy that would look if you saw the lights going without the music.

it's not stop animation, if you look to the left of the house there is a tower light blinking on and off in the distance...

OMG this guy/girl is awesome. I have never seen anything like it before. It takes a lot of talent to do this stuff. Wow I give him/her props for this one. WOW I am still amazed!!!

haha that was good! I would love to know how i did it. either he had a person contolling every power outlet in the house linked to the lights, or he used somekind of software. i remember once i created a light sequence on my computer at school for christmas lights, but im sure his was wayy more technical than the one i designed...lol

That was awesome. I wish I could do something like that this year...but I would probably end up pissing off the neighbors.

That must have taken a lot of work. I thought it was very well done.

yeah it was very good
I can't help but wonder if he actually did that though
it's quite possible and all
but there were a few parts where it looked a lot like it was just stop-motion filming
that's the way I would've done it anyways
much less time consuming

I couldn't help but laugh. Maybe it was the music. But the lights were awesome.

It took 3129 years to load but it was worth it! Very nice.
I sure wouldn't want to live across the street from that house though.

It wouldn't be hard, especially with LEDs, You could run the whole thing on less than your computer's power draw right now. Good call with the music, the whole thing was animated in the computer though, there is a guy who does that where you can 'control' his christmas lights, but it's just JPEGs loading locally of different configs. This is the logical extention, probably the same guy. Considering there is nobody in the film, and the music is added in post production, not live, it's a construction, but pretty nonetheless, he had to setup the lights. Good Job.

Still wouldn't be hard to do for real with a good microcontroller system controlling an array of power relays, or if you wanted to get fancy, a set of dimmers like we use in theater, then just synchro the animation to the audio timecode and you could do lots of different stuff, on the hour for people driving by.

Thanks!

wizards in winter - trans-siberian orchestra
very nice work
not realy hard to configure
song, and light sequencer (not so hard to find if work on SFX)

and if they used high bright leds as i think, bill will not be a real problem.

do more original things!!! world need things like this instead war.

Best regards to all

Excellent show, but next time spend some of that time and money on getting a life. How many hours (days) were spent on putting that together? Not to mention the utility bills that are coming.

That's very creative, impressive! I would HATE to be their neighbors though.
