CUTE! If we ever have a yard big enough for a dog, I'd get a Labradoodle. I like big dogs and my husband only likes small dogs, so it's a good compromise!

Also, pit bulls are generally good with children/people. It's their interactions with other dogs that you sometimes have to worry about. (Of course, there are dogs of every breed, though, that will be aggressive towards humans, but this is not a trait of any specific breed.) |

These "designer dogs" are not purebreeds, though, and there is no way to tell what their temperament, size, etc. will be because of that. |

I agree that rescuing a dog from the pound is the best road, however, there are times when it is best to get a purebred. Like, if I were a parent, and I wanted to get a large dog, I would go with a pure bred, because you can get dogs and know their temoerment, otherwise I might end up getting a dog that looks like a collie, but has the temperment of a pitbull. There is no point in taking chances with large dogs. |

My dog's a shoodle, a Shi-Tzu and a poodle. It's funny because her hait grows like a Shi-Tzu's but is curly like a Poodle's. Her tail is the damn cutest thing! |

I love cross breed dogs, i have a dog from a rescue shelter who is a 'moodle', a cross between a tiny maltease and a toy poodle! she's so sweet! |

do the people buying these things realize that pugs and beagles are the 2 most difficult breeds to housebreak? As someone who makes their living in the animal care industry, this makes me sick... I have two beautiful purebred foster dogs right now, a peke, and a beagle, but they have no permanent home because idiots like this need to spend hundreds of dollars on a souped up mutt! Disgusting! I'm gonna get off my soapbox now before I get kicked off the website... |

Grr, pets are not fashion accessories!Man, I liked these BEFORE they got "cool." I like them because they're like miniature mastiffs (and I *love* English mastiffs), and their demeanor is excellent. Sigh. When it comes down to it though, I think I'd go to a shelter to get a pet either way. |
