I imagine the pumpkin carving is from waaaay back when it was beleived that Halloween was the night when souls would roam the earth. People would try to scare the souls away so that they would not enter their homes. I guess the pumpkins would have been a way to scare them... Just a guess though!
^^^i head that some guy name "jack" made a deal with the devil that if he helped him the devil wouldnt take him into hell, so he made the deal, and sinned a lot knowing he couldnt go to hell but then when he died he couldnt get into heaven and the devil wouldnt let him come to hell so the devil through up some hot coal and a radish sohe could see so he carved out the radish and put the coal in it, then people relized that it was easier to carve pumpkins that radishes...it was something along the lines of that.. |

Halloween is awsome, it gives you an exuse to dress up all crazy and collect candy, plus carving pumpkins are fun too, i cant wait till halloween |
