Contrary to what some people think. In science, the word theory is used to describe something that is about as solid as it can get.It's still a work in progress, the details are still being worked out, with new data being added and out understanding of its machinations increasing every day. But to suppose that the word Theory means that it's just a best guess that could be disproven at any point, is to not understand the scientific usage of the word 'theory' at all. That's not to say that it COULDN'T be disproven or radically changed, part of science is to always be ready to change what you consider 'fact' based on new information. It's just that in order to disprove the theory of evolution at this point, you would need some sort of momentous discovery (or a series of such discoveries) that fundamentally changed our basic understanding of biology, chemstry, microscopy and geology, to name a few fields. |

now to sound really smart , actually the theory states that we evolved from the same ancestor of the ape, and that when we went on different evoluntionary paths . So technicaly we didnt evolve from an ape but we have a distant ancestor in common . But yeah I think that Religion these days is really a joke and to fully follow a religion and its leaders is allowing your mind to be controled. All the crap that has happened as a cause of religion over the past millenia is a joke I wouldnt cry if every religion got obliterated . |

I dunno, maybe I'm just thinking the wrong way, but has anyone ever thought that creationism and evolution can co-exist? I mean, honestly, what's wrong with some god creating life from mud, and then encouraging that life to evolve towards "his" form (if it really is a he). I'm an aethiest, and I'm a strong supporter of evolution, but to say that I am right and you are wrong is rediculous, because neither side has solid evidence.Personally, I think weshould stop all of this religeous propoganda for any religion, including athiesm. The only thing religious propoganda is good for is starting wars with other religions, and where's the sense in that? Last time I checked, every major god in the world promoted PEACE. |

You're all WRONG.According to L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, we all evolved from clams. He claims that many of our anxieties can be traced back to trillions of years of living as a clam. Lots of our problems stem from the conflict between the hinge that wanted to open and the hinge that wanted to close. Also, we have anxiety from years of trying to gulp air while on the sea shore as wave after wave rolled over our heads. Evolution is a theory in progress. What about this like "Lucy" is that easily dismissed? Over the last 50 yrs alone we have made great progress, Pope John II even said the "Evolution is something that we should look in to." And to think that we and the world are only a little over 5000 yrs old is a bit narrow minded. Especialilly when it come from a 2000 yr old book that has gone through at least five different langauge translations, and another 500 yrs before i landed in your local Sunday school class.
