I've never gotten the big fuss over polygraph tests and such. There are tons of things that can make people nervous during questioning, including being questioned! Polygraphs are notorious for giving false positives (says they're lying when they aren't) and false negatives (says they're telling the truth when they're lying). That is why courts don't allow polygraph results to be presented at all during a trial. If you read through the article, these glasses are even more unreliable than a polygraph. It says it is accurate 50% of the time. I don't like them odds. |
