OK I don't get the math there. First of all, I'm not patient and I definitely don't know what I am doing. But if their suit costs $215, and you can make your own for $40 in materials, then you're only saving $175. For 40 hours labour you're only getting $4.38 an hour. Pretty crummy savings, I'd say. |

that is the point of a ghillie suit, is to allow you to blend in. it works better than a bdu (normal camouflage) because of the fact that it breaks up your outline litteraly and not just makes it seem that way, hard to explain in text. but the human eye looks for recognizable shapes, flat things, human outline, etc. so while camouflage helps because of the shapes it creates a disruptive immage, a ghillie suit truly breaks up your outline, and will work amazingly well if you know what you are doing. (and believe me i'm still learning. a ghillie suit is never complete, it can always be better) but anycrap, for about 40 bucks and 40 man hours you can have a pretty sweet ghillie suit if you are patient and know what you are doing. |
