I find it distressing that the majority of the comments are negative to the woman. What's up? Are you people a bunch of cops in here? Thank you CaptKangaroo, you are precisely correct, sir. Simple case of Cops out of control. Watch the video. Can you see the construction on the right side of the road? Can you see the other two ladies walking in the street to get around said construction? The reporter said "walking in traffic" she said the cop said that. How much traffic can you count in this video? Any cars? Anything, except this pooty cop walking all over the rights of this woman defending herself? She didn`t start this, he did! Respect begets respect. Violence begets violence. If you man-handle me, I`m going to fight back. I don`t blame her for her actions. Cops are out of control in this country and have been for quite some time. Go to photographyisnotacrime.com. You will be sickened by what you see. I don`t understand why so many are against her.

i know it can go two ways, but PO's can get very rough for no real reason- many years ago I got pounced on and shoved into a telegraph pole while walking home. Scared the crap out of me, and I thought I was being attacked. Turned out they thought I was a young bloke they were looking for- and they had me tightly before they spoke. I wasn`t hurt- but badly shaken- but the look on their faces was quite funny when they revealed a middle aged woman not a young thug. Could have gone wrong though..

she was out of line never resist the police. they have the gun and the clubs, handcuffs etc. and the rule of law behind them. I don't know about the "have to show ID" I believe the Supreme Court has ruled against this you cant lie to them about who you are, I belive this is true, any one knows different please speak up

@aliyhg1979: Thanks for the info! It makes a HUGE difference, IMHO. But if she was walking down the middle of the street? (I mean a long ways, eh?) The Police have every reason to "make contact" and legally ask for ID.
Sounds like the cop "calmed down" for a while there, but she didn't.
