From what I've heard, the prices at the heavily regulated government-sanctioned stores are so f***ing high, there`s still an active black market where you can buy better weed for a lot less.

I started smoking weed as a painkiller when I was around 30 and suffering from bad pain following a bone marrow transplant.....the tramadol they'd put me on made me feel really sick and didn`t work that well - weed did.
I also sleep a lot better when stoned, both longer and better quality. Normally I don`t sleep for more than 4 hours a night in two, two hour stints. When stoned I can easily sleep for double that.
I used to smoke it pretty much every day for those reasons.... then they changed my painkillers to something stronger so now I only smoke weed half a dozen times a year for social reasons, because I found when smoking it a lot that not only is it a good painkiller I do also love the feeling of being stoned.

I smoke. Primarily to catch a buzz after a long week of work and game my ass off until I fall asleep with maybe a wake-n-bake the next day, but the awesome side-effects are: my back and knees dont slaughter me nearly as much (arthritis/ degenerative discs) my ADD is almost non existent (if I get Sativa strains), and I haven't had an anxiety attack in 7 years (when i started smoking again after a 16 year hiatus whilst raising spawnlings) I`m not on ANY prescription drugs for any of my aches and pains (yet?) and my kids aren`t drug addicts in fact one is `meh` about pot, the other only partakes if he`s got a migraine.

Sorry Papajon, but from the Penn report on weed use for sleep:
"The research team notes that the study was not designed to determined causality, so they cannot determine the exact relationship between marijuana use and sleep disturbance..."
They did NOT prove that weed causes sleep disorders, but that there was an association.
This is a stupid morality based law. In light of overwhelming evidence, from actual educated scientists and doctors not just stoners, people still rage against the striking of a law that would likely make things better.
