While I'm all for "guide dogs" in public places, places of business, etc ... I`m still kinda surprised even THEY would be allowed in the passenger area. I don`t mean to sound insensitive but .. whereTF is the owner going to GO on an airplane that he needs a guide dog? lol. There`s the seat, the bathroom, and only one way between them. They`re always saying to stay in your seats until those with special needs can be taken care of (gotten off the plane) ... have the dog unloaded and waiting at the gate. *shrug*
Unless there`s something about riding in the normal pet area that would be traumatizing and disrupting to the dog`s training ... *shrug*.

runemang: It was undoubtedly a service dog. They cannot, by law, be denied access to the passenger compartment. The problem is, because of this law, a whole cottage industry of fake service dog documentation has sprung up, allowing people to fake disabilities and get their dogs on planes because the airlines are not required to demand much in the way of proof.

What the hell were they feeding him? Whenever my dog would pinch a loaf, you could pick it up with one paper towel and wipe up the skidmark with another. This poor guy was obviously suffering from some serious GI troubles.
