llaa-Check out Niven and Pohl's "The Space Merchants", you will not be disappointed.

Great Book, but it was Pohl and Kornbluth.

Now, if you want a GREAT book by Niven, Jerry Pournelle & Steven Barnes, `The Legacy of Heorot` is a must read.

@MeGrendel: I've read a ton of Asimov`s stuff but will certainly check out Larry Niven.

I rather enjoyed reading this again.

patchouly-
Who wrote this?

Terry Bisson. I first read it in on of The Year's Best Science Fiction collections (or possibly in one of Asimov`s anthologies)

If you like that, I`d suggest any collection of short stories by Larry Niven. (His `N-Space` has both short stories and anecdotes).
