I'm pretty good at lucid dreaming.... if I`m dreaming and don`t like one bit I can just rewind it and do it again. I`m not sure when I started being able to do it or if I`ve always done it. The trick I think is to hold that `just nodding off` moment as long as I can before giving in and falling asleep. The little bit before proper sleep that`s almost like being stoned.

I've tried to train myself to lucid dream, but have been mostly unsuccessful. As a writer, my thought is that it might help me subconsciously work out story problems while sleeping.
It`s great for that

I was in a number of dream research projects during the 1980's.
