When asked how humankind will end on Earth, some think there will be a natural disaster, others think there will be war or a maniac with a death-wish. I'm pretty sure it will be well-meaning quasi-scientific types who engineer some kind of high-altitude bacteria that fundamentally alters the atmosphere that we need to survive, or some other well-intended but poorly thought-out plan of that sort.
