I dunno if an escalation over texting during a movie should have led to someone being shot and killed. His reason for standing his ground was because the guy threw popcorn at him? Oyyyyyyy...
Well I'd say someone being found not guilty because a jury like many others think it was self defense in the case she`s probably referring to. Is a lot less of an issue than a serial child rapist murderer being let off with a slap on a wrist because she plea bargened to provide evidence not needed. I`d say that means you should look at the Canadian legal system before bantering about how bad the US one is. So no not off topic.
The debate here is on the validity of a law that allows people to be declared legally not guilty when they are arguably morally and ethically guilty
In the case you`re probably referencing that`s an opinion and just that.

McG- I get your point but the fact that this guy's career was based on upholding the law. So yes I think he should be punished more. Trouble is, we know how the old pals act works and he will probably get far less.
