Until quite recently there were 12 zeros in a billion here in the UK. We used the British billion which is a million million rather than a thousand million which was the US billion that we`ve now adopted too to keep things simple.

So if he`s a brit over say 25, chances are that he`d have been taught at college/school that there were 12 zeroes, not the modern 9

I have read, literally, every one of his books. I love him. BUT, I'd add to the F uck you Stephan King, for letting them totally F uck with the dome. MOTHERF UCKED.
