personally, i've always thought of it this way: yes, i know frozen has more vitamins per ounce, but ill eat more fresh because they taste better...so pound for pound frozen wins, realistically fresh wins because ill eat more of them

I buy fresh from a produce store we've recently "discovered". The quality is just unreal compared to supermarkets, it keeps longer, and though it`s slightly more expensive ... it`s worth it.

I was the cold storage foreman for United Packers for two years and worked for Sunkist for three more. Produce is picked before nutritional value is attained (in many products) so that spoilage is minimized.
If you want fresh, grow your own or buy from Farmer's Markets.
Gerry: We grew peas this year and I unknowingly destroyed my capability to ever eat processed peas again. Fresh baby peas are a truly religious experience.

wow- first time ever that an ad at the beginning was a local one. My mothers place of employment to be exact. Shocked me.

Also, I always eat frozen veggies because of convince. Cool that it's better for me- for a change
