@5Cats - did I hit a nerve? I've listed my source which in my opinion is more creditable than the top 5 Google links which you are blandly spitting out as if they are fact. To be honest I not going to argue with you. I don`t post very often and only did so this time because I happen to have a bit of secondary knowledge that might be of interest to other readers. You on the other hand clearly live on this site (based on your post count) which leads me to believe that you don`t have much else going on - which is fine, everyone has their thing. Respond to this post if you want, but I won`t be reading it. Use it as an opportunity to vent or just to boost your post count if you wish, it doesn`t matter to me and if anything, I pity you for it.

@drawman61 - One of my old university professors has both the original text and the reissue for this exact reason, and from what I heard he was thoroughly disappointed when he saw the differences. As k-two mentioned, the original text is more closely linked to past events than to the Titanic.
@5Cats - Don't use wiki as fact, it only makes you look like an idiot. And don`t used upper case to try and reiterate your point (especially when it is wrong), as it just comes off as condescending.
