I think the big problem these days is the instant sharing of everything. When I grew up there were no camera phones and no social networking. I could say and do stupid things and get away with it.Now kids don't have that luxury. Everything they say and do is recorded and shared online instantly. As the older generation we are quick to condemn them on their stupidity, when in reality it is exactly the same thing we have been doing for generations. We also expect kids to have an innate ability to use technology and know how to use it responsibly. when in reality they are controlled by their hormones and their peer group. Kids need help with tech - not chastisement when they use it inappropriately. parents need to do more to keep their kids safe online and not expect governments or ISPs to keep them safe by blocking images and material that is unsuitable. in the end its education not censorship that is needed. Oh and a bit of slack for the kids who do stupid stuff....
