Agreed, Americans shirking their responsibilities has led us into one hell of a mess. If you duck out of jury duty you are doing a disservice to your fellow citizens.

And if you ever are in need of a decent jury and all you get are a bunch of idiots, and you ducked out of jury service before, then you deserve the jury you get. And the rest of us that have done their civic duty, on jury duty, should get better jurors. It`s only fair.

I've never been chosen for jury duty. Seems like it would be interesting.

Somehow I always seem to avoid jury duty.. Probably has something to do with always being called testify on behalf of the state.
