Both Walmart and the benefits cheats are at fault.

Walmart will pay for it in restocking costs and spoilage.

As for the looters, I suggest that all these people's food stamps should be put into defecit until the amount they spent has been re-accrued (less interest at rates commensurate with their credit) and they are again in positive balance.

WalMart is at fault, huh? Okay. Maybe they were guilty of not following procedure. I don't think they "just saw dollar signs," as they are not going to be recompensed for the food and items stolen.
People on these "benefit" cards are having their groceries bought by tax-paying citizens like me. I am paying to feed their families.
How is this generosity paid back? Do those on "benefits" strive to get jobs, even low-paying ones, like me? Do they try to remove themselves from the government teat? No.
Though some use the system as intended, others abuse it, like is seen here. This is not a "normal human reaction." These are masses of thieves who already consider themselves entitled to live off of your and my sweat and our hard work.
It makes me sick and it makes me weep for the human race.
We had so much potential once. Now all I see are ignorant, selfish savages. Hopefully the Louisiana sink-hole will find every one of

So.. Those that used their cards to buy thousands of dollars of stuff won't have to pay it back?
WTF?!

Sounds like major greed all around. Both those looting the EBT system by overbuying their limit and those defrauding it by continuing to allow customers to exploit a computer glitch.
