The particle accelerator thing is complete nonsense. The earth is constantly bombarded with cosmic particles, some of which have energies hundreds of times what the large hadron collider is capable of. If it was possible to make a black hole that could suck up the earth from a single particle collision, it DEFINITELY would have happened billions of years ago.

Andrew155, it's not the actual irruption, as damaging as it could be but the ash cover that hangs in the air blocking sunlight for years. It will drop the temperature to constant winter and nothing will grow. True and slow apocalypse. The way we are drilling, this is more of a possibility than any other scenario.
