I remember when our Hallowe'en was full of monsters, ghosts, ghouls, corpses, and headless people. It was a way of laughing back at what was scary in the dark of the night. Now it`s dominated by princesses, TV personalities, sports players, movie stars, furry animals, and whatnot. In the interest of turning it into the biggest moneymaking day short of Christmas, it`s lost all it`s original meaning. Even the apostrophe in the "e`en" part is gone, as "Halloween" becomes a meaningless term.
