Well, yeah! They used those scene constructions from other shows to save a dime. They were really CHEAPSKATES back then!

It's also just common sense. Why build a NEW place when a nearly-the-same one is right next door?

A little tweaking (NOT Twerking!) and no one will know! Except the Trekkers...

WOW! Those pictures look EXACTLY like Mayberry. I know, because I have all the buildings on the Mayberry set memorized, and or course, I have a perfectly photographic memory, which means it was completely unnecessary to show pictures from TAGS next to the ST pics.

Wow, I had to use Google in order to understand this post. The only thing I know about the Andy Griffith show is that Opie is a common answer in the newspaper crosswords.
