Modwain - That sounds like it sucks. Good thin you aren't American, because I would hate to have my taxes wasted changing a statewide computer and ID system to accommodate one person. Really though, It doesn` appear to be the same situation. She was quoted saying that she would not consider shortening her name to suit the system.

It appears that she decided "screw everyone else, I won`t consider shortening my name...even if it costs everyone else.

well, i am sorry but if your database needs to be rewritten cause of this, it sucked to begin with. i had the same problem with my name a few years back, the computer system made to help make things easier did not want to accept my name. legaly though this ment that bills sent to me were not sent to me but someone with a difference in his or her last name. As soon as this was pointed out, wow,it really got changed fast.
