Instead of having all these convoluted reasons for why Obama wants to go into Syria like the petrol dollar, why don't we go to the most simple reason? He`s a Progressive, look at the history of American Progressivism. Starting from T Roosevelt, to Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and then LBJ. (Truman is iffy, I actually wouldn`t call him a Progressive though). They were all warmongers. They all wanted to remake the world in our own image.

After the Vietnam war, started by Progressive LBJ, Progressives became anti-war for a generation. With the exception of Kosovo, etc. However, now that we have a Progressive president, they are returning to their roots. It`s an imperialistic ideology. And I would without a doubt call neo-conservative an off-shoot of this dumb ideology.
