@ 5cats: Thanks for the 4 stars. Having spent more time on Bill Flowers' website and YouTube channel, I agree that it should be "The Devils` Last Supper." Grammar isn`t Flowers` strong suit. The actual title of the painting (as opposed to the title of the YouTube video) is either "I Hope This Isn`t Their Last Supper" or "We Hope This Isn`t Their Last Supper" (I`ve seen both versions)--references to the facial tumor disease that is wreaking havoc on the Tasmanian devil population.
An aside: I hope you don`t think I`m trying to get on your case lately, with my responses to the Insanity Island cartoon and the Newsbusted clip. We are on different sides of the aisle politically, so it stands to reason we`re going to disagree periodically. It pleases me that we both seem to be able to disagree, most of the time, without being disagreeable. =^.^=

@ Drawman61: A local Catholic church leader registered a complaint with the gallery requesting the painting be removed. But after meeting with Flowers and learning how much he loves Tasmanian devils, the official retracted his complaint. The painting then remained in the gallery for the duration of the show (and was sold early on to one of the gallery's visitors).
The incident resulted in a lot of anger from some Christians, Catholics particularly, in NW Australia, much of it directed at the editors of the local newspaper *The Advocate*, who reproduced the painting prominently across their front page early in the controversy.
