I already said they use "labor" because of the influence of the American labor movement on the founders of the Australian Labor Party.

Mainly from William Lane, who grew up in America and was a Marxist and Bellamy socialist. He formed the Australian Labor Federation in Queensland.

They probably use Labor because it could be considered lower class - more for the common man. These Labor types are usually that vain.

If anything needs correcting, it's Aust(r)alia and "Burgandy".

The word "labour" is normally used in Australia rather than the Americanised "Labor." However the political party "Australian Labor Party" changed their name from "Labour" to "Labor" in 1912. Have no idea why, because no one else uses it here & it's considered grammatically incorrect. But they do.
