and the red neck hillbilly types who like to shoot there guns in the air while yelling "wooooooo!". @patchouly: Like... Joe Biden? Actually, that's a "cultural custom" in a LOT of nations! Most Arabic ones, some Asian ones too, Serbia, Turkey (iirc)
@JadDitoyr: It`s an `unofficial` welcome! I try to encourage intelligent posters, even if I don`t agree with them. I also hope to encourage "new righties" to overlook the IAB Liberal Brigade & feel free to state their opinion.
Catgirls! I love them!
Alberta is the "most right" province in Canada, it`s true. Gun crime is highest in Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg though... go figure!
Alberta is also the ONLY province that`s NOT in debt...

Maybe its better for Canada. I'm trying to remember which of your provinces you might be referring to there... Alberta? Is that right? Alberta is the Mississippi of Canada?
Its illegal to shoot your gun (randomly) into the air. They`re performing criminal behavior when they do that.
Now, most rednecks know gun safety. They`ve grown up around firearms, and will behave in a manner less reckless than you seem to believe.
Yes, it happens, there is no denying that. Brendon Mackey was a recent example; but it isn`t a common thing. In his case, it was Virginia, so not many southern rednecks there....

Let's be honest here. There are actually three types of gun owners. The responsible gun owners who follow all the rules, the criminals who will use guns, no matter what, and the red neck hillbilly types who like to shoot there guns in the air while yelling "wooooooo!".
Making it harder to get guns by having background checks and registrations (and by background checks I mean criminal checks, not medical), you may not stop criminals from having guns, but you will stop the large number of idiots with guns who won`t bother getting a gun because of the hassle of registering. In the end, that is better for all of us.

@5Cats You haven't yet, but I greatly appreciate it. I`ve been lurking for many years, and I`ve always looked forward to reading your comments. Ok, viewing the catgirls you post. Gotta say, you`ve got good tastes.
@turdburglar Oh, I know the type. I`ve always leaned to the Right, even when I was a young punk (you know, last week). But, the way I view it is that by having conversations with that type, I`m able to prepare better answers for when I`m speaking with those who have an open mind.
Heh, "Extra-superduper illegal actions!" Maybe I should go into radio like my grandfather. I could be awesome.
