Why go after ex-pats, when corporations are getting free rides? ...Oh, wait, that's right Corporations have lobbyists to right their laws, ex-pats don`t.

A money grab with an unexpected(?) blow-back. Tho the possibility is the numbers may be up on renouncements, but could be a calculated cost compared to the total amount numbers wise.

In that light, it`s less "unexpected", and more of a calculated risk. Which too will have blow-back implications that are as yet to be foreseen.

I always found it rather amusing with my american friends that as a British citizen I was not taxed whilst out of the country but they were. America fought for independence so that her people didn't have to pay taxes to the British. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
