Sorry, still don't buy it. Don`t need no studies or reports. I`ve seen way to much suffering. I`ve so many brilliant people erode in shells of their former selves because of that stuff. I don`t think it should be legal, sorry.

If you have even half a working brain in your head none of this is new information... Centuries of outright lies about marijuana 'round the world people, centuries of it.

saying you have headaches or backaches
So in other words, patient has pains, doctor prescribes marijuana. Patient uses said marijuana feels better and doctor makes money. Sounds like capitalism, I don't see the problem here.
that`s not a genuine reason for receiving a schedule I drug
There is no genuine reason for cannabis to be a schedule I drug in the first place. Even the government`s own reports say that there are perfectly valid medical uses for it. It`s yet another example of how medicine gets politicized.

Cajun: "...doctors aren't prescribing the stuff for the sake of it."
No, most doctors prescribing it, in those states, are doing it for the money. You walk into certain doctors offices and get a medical marijuana card by saying you have headaches or backaches. Sorry but we ALL get headaches and backaches from time to time, that`s not a genuine reason for receiving a schedule I drug. It`s so easy it`s a joke and most people know it.

Mikeox': Physically addicted? Not really. But emotionally or habitually addicted, absolutely. Why do you think the term "pothead" was coined way back in the 60s? I`ve known people who just lived for their next joint (often at the expense of food and hygiene), and if that isn`t a form of addiction, I don`t know what you`d call it. Still, I think keeping its use a criminal offence is a total waste of time and money, however. It can`t compare to other street drugs or even cigarettes for addiction.
