Honestly, UK and US are both a load of toss. Both are essentially morally bankrupt, both have invaded countless places they really had no business going, both have perpetrated war crimes and both have ego's the size of a nuclear payload.
And Canada`s not even much better. Hell at this point even Japan is better than all of us. Let that sink in for a moment.

@Andrew155 Saying "that's really really really, incredibly dumb to say" is a rather stupid thing to say. Somerset v Stewart (1772) 98 ER 499 is a famous judgment of the English Court of King`s Bench in 1772 which held that slavery was unsupported by existing law in England and Wales. Now that wasn`t hard to look up, was it?

@McGovern "If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is... not... to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it...." Abraham Lincoln

@Spuds England also realised that slavery was a bit of a no-no about 100 years before those United States did... Really? So, why didn't they abolish it in THEIR colony before we declared independence?
@som-tam, of course, you are absolutely correct. Whites didn`t enslave blacks; they simply bought blacks who had already been enslaved by other blacks. That makes them an accessory to an abominable crime, but not actually the original perpetrators of it.
Still the facts are, England brought most of the slaves to America, and they didn`t end the slave trade, let alone free the slaves already here, while the Colonies were still under their control.
(Note the date, and tell me why the US should be blamed for this.)
