Estonia and Latvia have a flat tax of about 20-25% and they still manage to have low inequality. They did mega austerity at the beginning of the crisis and now they're some of the only viable economies in the EU. Estonia is possibly the only Eurozone country qualified to be in the currency and Latvia is growing at 6%.

Maybe I`m not getting memos from the Republican Party anymore, The Repubicans call it a flat tax as a sales pitch. But it has lots of tax deductions in it for the rich so it`s not a flat tax by definition, just by name. Don`t change your content, change your label - that`s american politics.
