Wood frogs will mate with any living thing they can wrap their arms around and they crush the organism with a bear hug called "Amplexus", usually killing it. It helps give their population an edge when the young hatch and have little to no competition and a few less of their predators. It also helps the male get at the females eggs first by literally squeezing them out of her.

That moustache bit is a bit off. The upper lip is where the so-called lanugo (a very fine type of hair) first forms when the fetus is about 5 to 6 inches long, and it eventually covers the whole body before being shed and swallowed. A baby's first BM gets rid of it.
