LOL Of course it isn't about marijuana; one need only listen to the lyrics.

When I was a young stoner I was partial to the Desire album.

Only saw Dylan once; after my stoner years. I was hoping that he would sing Masters of War and my spouse ridiculed me for wishing that out of all of his compositions I would be silly enough to long for that one. Nevertheless, Dylan closed with Masters of War, and I stood on a platform above all of the greying heads below me and loudly whooped my appreciation. I think that he saw me but I`ll never know for sure.

I was 13 yrs old in San Francisco when this song came out in 65, had no idea what it meant but loved the freewheeling tempo. Quicksilver and Sons of Champlin played at my high school. Moved to LA that year, came back to visit a year later and everybody was stoned.

I was in the audience at the Academy of Music in NYC on December 31, 1971 when The Band recorded part of their "Rock of Ages" live album. I'll never forget their encore. After they left the stage, and the applause had been going on for a while, Robbie Robertson comes back, pushing some guy in front of him. The guy had sunglasses and a guitar. It took the audience a few seconds to realize that it was Bob Dylan, and we all went nuts when we did. Dylan and The Band played a great set together -- "Down in the Flood," "Like A Rollin` Stone," etc. That`s my only Dylan-in-concert story, but it`s a damn good one.
