If you haven't seen the other post yet...there appears to be a facebook post from the driver boasting about how fast he was going....If it is true then this was NOT an accident or driver error. The driver DELIBERATELY broke the speed limit and caused the crash..if the facebook post is true of course

I've read that the tracks were "being upgraded" to handle high-speed trains better.
Perhaps (Speculation Warning) the driver was expecting the safety systems to slow the train, but they didn`t? Or that the track had been modified so he could go fast around that curve? Still 100% HIS fault though, so it doesn`t really matter much.
