@Liquidglass, Also think about how DIFFERENT people can be, despite having the same first name. For instance, George Patton and George of the Jungle. Oh, no, wait...forget I said that!

1) I have 3 friends named Scott. All are very different. They have some traits that are similar. Also similar to Goerge, Marc, Andy and Jerry. Depriving a child a friend on the basis of a name may deprive them of a great friend. 2) It MAY tell you something about their past. I've made split second decisions about people on issues less shallow than names or cars, and then been in positions where I had to deal with them...and found out they were really good, worthwhile people. I`ve learned to try NOT to make decisions like that (doesn`t always work, though). 3) Presumably (yes, it`s kind of a split second decision) she using the name to gauge their "class". That would be eliminating a "sect" of people. That`s a type of prejudice. 4) You`re assuming the people in Nickel2`s pub would be of that class. So do I actually. THAT`S what`s hypocritical. She might have a great time, if she could loosen up. 5) Keep personal information out of public forums.
