greenbasterd,
A lot of these are geographic, but you're right. Another one that always pains me is "meera" instead of mirror. Then there are also things like writing "would of" instead of would have. Ack!

we don't say surry. mericans just have to try really hard to make fun of us. like they haven`t butchered the english language to the extreme. americans say ruf, its a dratin ROOF like ROO with an f.. there is no U in roof.. crick? wtf is a crick? its a creek.. say it proper.. and how about weata.. its water.. i could go on.. i haven`t even got to the south yet... oh and one that really gets me is the imaginary R`s that eastcoast USA seem to think every word has..

Krowley: This isn't the first time I`ve come across this claim that Canadians say "surry" for "sorry." I don`t know anyone who says surry, unless they live in Surrey. Do Americans say "so-ree" or something? `Cause I`ve never noticed it on TV or in movies. Please clarify!

This is part of my evening news, so I saw this live! Kristi's now pushing 4.8 million YouTube views. The spider seems to be gone, but became a sort of weather mascot for a few days.
