I've done these shows for a living.. I`ll take metal concerts any day. It`s the same here: you got two festivals happening at the same town. One is alternative rock and metal, the other one is tango (yeah, weird but it`s the "country" in this country and 95% of it, is not actually tango).. Both are about the same size and attendance. The other one has twice the arrests and violent altercations, mainly fights and horrible amount of trash. Guess which one of the two it is?
The darker the metal , the easier the crowd. Somehow metal folks can get over the "i like this but you like this" and come to acceptance with another persons views. Something to think about, rednecks.

It's about numbers and demographics. The rock crowd can be a bit older, country being on a commercial rise; Chesney, Urban, Little Big Town. As opposed to the ages of Manson, Rezner, Stooge, Slipknot, Rollins, etc. Woodstock and Isle of Wight had similar trash problems.
