If this is from an old ad, as JeepJones says, I'll comfort myself with the idea that they propped up a half-size photo of a Jeep over a painted a shadow for the ad shoot.

as it happens I fekkin hate 4x4's, unless they are ancient and mud splattered. We have quite a few dick heads who live around here who have big shiny 4x4`s `cause it is the country and you know, ponies. They are twats, they try to run me off the road on a daily basis and I wish them, and their orange stained, nylon haired arse wiping fat wives into the deepest pit of hell. They should fek off back to suburbia with their new shiny money they earned yesterday and leave me in saftey.

@pandabee, the rangerover is indeed just about the most unsuitable vehicle imaginable for a desert. It IS too heavy, because it was designed to be heavy to get traction on muddy/rocky slopes and boulders, not in sand. Jeeps tend to fare well on sand because they are very light. On top of that, the rangerover was never designed for top off-roading behaviour. Many concessions were made to make the thing comfortable.
Take a series Landrover or a Defender(something ACTUALLY designed for true off-roading, not comfort) and it'll beat the pants off a jeep in just about any scenario.
Also, modern Rangerovers should look at it`s classic lineage and cry in shame. They have nothing to do with the original intend of the brand anymore.
