British railways parcels used to be like this years ago. As an electronics apprentice, I sometimes had to build pieces of equipment with only the heavy components mounted on the printed circuit boards. These part-built machines were then packed up in the company's despatch department and shipped by rail-parcel-post in a circuitous route round the railway network. Finally arriving back at the development labs, they were inspected too see if there was handling damage to any internal assemblies. Weaknesses were spotted and designs were changed accordingly. Happy days!
