That was awesome! Sorry for the victims.
Reminds me of a July 4th about 30 years ago. A friend was lighting bottle rockets and letting them launch from his finger tips. He had a duffel bag FULL of fireworks sitting at his feet. Well, it only takes one stray ember... It started slow and grew exponentially. The noise, the cloud... it's uncanny! It was a perfect scaled down version of this video.

Hang on... So when a fertilizer plant explodes in Texas it's proof that deregulation is the devils work but when a fireworks factory burns in Montreal it`s just a random accident?

I saw this first person, I was driving over the bridge off of Montreal Island when one of my friends in the car with me says something like "Look at that it looks like a mushroom cloud!" I look out the window and sure enough there is this big billowing white cloud, we assume that it's coming from a factory`s smoke stack or something like that. We make a couple jokes like "looks like North Korea missed the U.S." a few minutes late we hear on the radio "we have breaking news that there has been an explosion off of the Island of Montreal", you can only imagine our reaction... Too bad too people died.
