At my advanced age, I had never eaten poutine until the other day, when I had to kill some time in a cosmopolitan Vancouver neighbourhood. I wanted lunch, and one place posted a poll result saying they had the best poutine west of Quebec, so I went for it. So-so fries, lumps of what seemed like melty mozzarella, and generic gravy. I didn't finish it, and tossed half away. Please tell me the real stuff is much better than that? Anyone from Quebec out there?
