I just lost all the respect and love I had for Italian food.

It's actually not that bad. I had the opportunity to eat it on my last trip to Italy and as nauseated as I was from the smell, it went down great with a beer.

First heard about Casu Marzu in this article. I think it was actually posted on IAB! You probably don't want to eat before you read it...maybe not for a little while after, either!

Helpful Tips On Dining from a Denizen of the Forest

With the retreat of the winter snows, Nature lays her bounty at our paws: First, the wondrous mushrooms appear, their taste the very essence of the forest. Next, April and May usher in the tender leafy greens, which make for lovely salads. Come June, the wild strawberries appear, small and intensely flavorful. The variety of foods available to the discerning squirrel--mushrooms, berries, nuts, the occasional crunchy cicada--are enough to make one's tail fluffy with joy.

But for God`s sake, if it`s crawling with fly larvae, do NOT put it in your mouth.

Thank you.
