@Oldollie You honestly believe its the religion, not the people who is/are dangerous? Of all the muslims i know, none of them have attacked me or shouted at me when i joked around with their religion.
Funfact: Educational methods like torture, maiming and burning of people were introduced by christian priests, as means to spread the christian belief of compasion. Sure its 1000 years ago... but im sure you get my point.

@Kilgore89: There is no god, he can't want anything. And love is not even remotely the core message of religions. It is: behave! (Of course not because god tells you so but some jerk who wants power over you)

I find it ironic how Europe constantly attacks the US for gay bashing, because of our issues with gay marriage. Yet 17 of the major countries there like France, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland,... ect. require forced sterilizations on trans people. Many also do it for cases of mental illness as well.
Still following the old "life unworthy of life" motto, one would think that europe would try to distance itself from eugenics, but no.

Mr. Orange, the United States has a few places where you might not want to be gay, like Mississippi, but we also have some of the most pro-gay places in the world. San Francisco, New York City (particularly Chelsea), much of New England. Gay marriage is legal in 12 states and increasing rapidly here. It's a similar story all over the Western world.
Meanwhile, people in the Muslim world are actually afraid to BE gay. Our gay rights issues are focused on their right to marry, theirs are focused on their rights to even exist. There is a huge difference.
And I can honestly say that I go about my day and never encounter any Christian Authoritarianism. Never have I been forced to believe something I don`t. Judging by your words, it seems you think America is as Theocratic as Iran. You`re blinded by preconceived notions.
You ask me to respond with balance. No, I will not justify the Muslim treatment of gays. A treatment vastly different than America`s.
