@ Madduck: I think European and American Feminism have different connotations. I've heard that European Feminists have remained fairly true to striving for equal rights. It`s American Feminists that have perverted it and made it into Island of the Cannibal Penis Haters.

Equal Pay act came in 1970, and when I started work in 1980 it was common practice to give men different job titles to pay them more. Marital rape was outlawed in 1981- again it was well into the 90's before the police would intervene in what they saw as `a domestic`

Hell, I'm all for equality but there`s a portion of IAB/society that seems to disregard the fact that there are DIFFERENCES between men and women. The differences exist and are NECESSARY. You know evolution being responsible for the way things are.

i would comment on the video but as a man I have already lost the debate. for it i'm an enabler for those that want to abuse the situation to be equal but greater. against it and i`m a sexist pig that just wants to hold women down. and offering up the idea of actual equality will never be believed no matter how sincere.

Equal pay, the right not to be assualted in my own home... all this is very recent

Where? Here in England, it's been 300 years...that`s not very recent and it`s not in your lifetime.
I would say I advocate for women, but the things I want as equality advantage men too, most of the time.
Giving the serfs scraps from the table of consideration, sometimes, when it`s unavoidable, is not equality.
I would dispute that Angillion- I self identify as a feminist.
You can dispute it, but you can`t refute it. You can`t be a feminist and advocate sexual equality - the two are not just mutually exclusive but inherently in opposition.

And no, it isn`t about raping wives. It`s about education. It`s about healthcare. It`s about social status. It`s about representation in politics and law. It`s about parenthood. It`s about *everything*.

Sexism isn`t the answer to sexism unless you want
