Duckboy: I tend to agree with you... extinction is very much an essential part of the evolutionary process, but it's sad when that extinction is due to humanity changing a species` environment. In the case of pure bred dogs, I also agree. For a while, those pure breds actually served purposes: hunting, pulling sleds, etc. But these days, with only a few exceptions, the pure bred dog serve no real purpose, and their inbred status only hurts their own health. Hybrid vigor!!

I support the extinction of animals, so long as man isn't the direct cause of extinction. But I also don`t support selective breeding (dogs and cattle), though find the subject extremely fascinating. For instance, I`d like to see all "pure bred" (inscest breds) dogs gone
